Audi A3
So finally after years of the A3 being a top seller in Europe, it comes out to the U.S. I was at first very excited to check this car out.
I decided to try to A3 2.0T, since the aftermarket products for the turbo motors seems to be easy to find and would make the car a little more fun. Now for the trouble, yes you can get a stick, but no you can't get Quattro. Why is it that this fun little car finally comes over and the one simple feature that made Audi what it is, and is not available?
Beyond the Quattro mistake, this car is extremely well refined. Especially for a mid 20k price range. The handling for a front wheel drive car is superb. The acceleration with 87-octane gas in the tester is quite good. The car has a tendency to grab the steering wheel, not due to being an un-equal length drive shaft but just too much power.
I was able to throw this car around and really feel its incredible grip. This car really holds to road.
The braking for one piston calipers is actually quite good, excellent feel little to no shifting under heavy braking.
Beside the lack of all wheel drive, I really like this car and would buy it if they come out with Quattro with a manual transmission.
Positives:
Interior is un-matched
Acceleration is good
Braking is great and has good feeling
Navigation is available
Negatives
No Quattro
Sport seats are not available with luxury package.
